Our Story

Women in Racing Ireland was inspired by a conversation between four women working in the thoroughbred industry who felt there was a need for support and inspiration for young women employed in all aspects of horse racing. WINR was instigated as an ad hoc network in 2017.

Mentoring Programme

Following a successful first two years of the WinR Mentoring programme when a total of 24 young women took part in up to 6 meetings with their mentors, including a practical experience day, we are launching our next mentoring programme for 2026. Details to follow soon.
